Has anyone done an Access to Nursing course with Learn Direct? I have a place on an access course with my local college but I'm having real trouble getting childcare, this course appeals to me as I can do it over two years and I can fund it with the advanced learner loan. Has anyone done this course? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

I'm doing mine at a college starting in September, however my friend done hers with Learn direct and said it was really supportive.
Before you apply for it though, I'd speak to your college and see if they offer a childcare scheme. My college will be paying 85% of my childcare costs. At least that way you'd be able to finish it one year instead of two! X

Thanks Emmie, yes the collage does have a bursary for childcare but my problem is that there are very few childminders who pick up from my daughters school and they are all full, and the after school club is full too! I only moved here a year ago so I don't have a big network of friends. I think doing over two years will suit me as my youngest daughter doesn't go to school for another two years and she'll get her 15 hour allocation next April, so I'll have more time to work on my studies then.

    Ahh I see!
Yeah then go for the online one! My friend said she gets lots of help and support from the tutors :)
